Dan Ellis

Dan Ellis has been a Principal of IBP Benefits since 1987. Dan graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a BA in finance. Dan went on to pursue his MBA at Santa Clara University. Since starting his own Health Insurance Brokerage firm in 1987, IBP has become one of the largest independent employee benefit brokerage and consulting firms in Northern California. 

Dan specializes in developing benefit plans in the small business market. Dan and his staff will help the employer navigate through all health care choices.

Dan has been on the broker advisor committee for the following health care companies:

• Aetna
• Anthem Blue Cross
• Blue Cross Shield of California
• Kaiser Permanente

He is also active in the employee benefit and insurance arenas and is a member of the following organizations: 

• California Association of Health Insurance Underwriters (CAHU)
• National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU)
• National Association of Insurance and Financial Professionals (NAIFA)
• Silicon Valley Association of Health Underwriters (SVAHU)
